In the Beginning
Belinda commenced her private practice in 1995 in Penrith servicing local schools and community members. She initially employed one other speech pathologist part time to assist with the busy caseload.

The practice has continued to grow and now employs a team of speech pathologists and occupational therapists. In addition to the increase in staffing, the range of services has also expanded.
The therapists are able to provide assessment and therapy in the areas of swallowing and communication for children and adults.

While Belinda was on maternity leave in 2003 she commenced developing resources for speech, language and literacy that would be suitable for use by parents, teachers and therapists. She went on to create 13 resource books that cover speech, language, literacy, social skills and problem solving. These programs are commercially available to the general public via the online shop.
Teaching & Growth
In addition to Belinda’s clinical and management responsibilities in the clinic, she has delivered lectures at Macquarie University. These included on the topics of childhood language disorders, clinical education and workplace skills for early career speech pathologists.
From a single clinician 25 years ago to team of eleven allied health and support staff, our allied health practice continues to blossom. We endeavor to harness the knowledge and energy of staff to further strengthen our services.
